Susan McCammon

Susan McCammon has been a Virginia resident for 19 years. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina to Alexander and Dorothy Borowski, Susan was the youngest of six children and the only daughter. Susan has a unique ethnic background in that her father's family lineage is both Russian and Polish, while her maternal Grandmother was a full-blooded Cherokee Indian. Her father was a career soldier who retired at the rank of Command Sergeant Major. Because of her father's military service, he was gone quite a bit while she was growing up. Susan's family is no stranger to government service. Besides her father and step-father being career Army soldiers, she has two brothers that served in the Air Force, one brother who served in the Coast Guard and another brother who was killed in action in Vietnam while assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division.

Susan graduated high school from Cape Fear High in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She went on to get her Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) degree from East Tennessee State University (ETSU) where she majored in Management and minored in Marketing.

Susan has held management positions in the retail sales and medical supply distribution industries. She works as the Director of Marketing and Volunteer Coordinator for the Shepherd's Center of Chesterfield which is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing assistance to senior adults.

Susan has been married for nineteen and a half years to Greg McCammon. Greg just retired last year as a lieutenant colonel from the U.S. Army Reserve and was assigned to U.S. Joint Forces Command in Norfolk. He currently works as a defense contractor and is in his second year serving on the Dinwiddie County School Board and the Appomattox Regional Governor's School Regional Board (ARGS).

Susan and Greg have two beautiful daughters who attend public school. The oldest attends ARGS where her focus area is Technology and the youngest goes to Dinwiddie Elementary.
